Tried to buy one so I emailed Propane back in early May about MX version, shipping times, etc. Tumbleweeds.  Went online to set up a call time: no callback.  Left messages. No callback. Emailed again & finally got a reply not answering my questions. Set up another "call me" appt.  No callback. Finally messaged Remy since he's world class with fans questions / comments. He set me up & someone emailed me immediately, answered questions and asked I wanted that updated Remy discount code (obviously) - never sent it & never replied to my emails saying Yes 15% off is great.  I finally gave up & bought a GT Fury - killer bike.  So badly wanted to ride a Rage & support Remy & others but wow... the wiring is all ripped out on Prop's customer service. I can't see how I'd have ever gotten support for real issue...couldn't even beg them to sell me a bike.

Damn! Sorry to hear that. I didn’t have any bad luck with contacting Propain but when I originally emailed them the Rage frame wasn’t in stock.  

A short bit of time later it was available but the site only showed a couple sizes and none of them were Large. I emailed them and they said to place the order and make a note that I wanted a large(web person didn’t update the inventory on the site properly). 

I placed the order and it took about a week before the frame got sent out. Once I received the frame I wrapped it and built it up. Had a fork bumper on the frame that ripped(mounting hole for the bolt to slide through). Emailed propain and they sent me a replacement which happened to be the wrong side lol. Emailed them back and they got the correct one out to me quickly. 

[know a guy that ordered a complete rage build and had no issues either]

Rode the bike at a few different spots this season and now the frame/fork is for sale. Time for a different build.

Just me griping...I'd spent months researching & decided on the Rage (Fury as runner up) in the $5k & less bracket (I had parts to upgrade anything that sucked) so for Propain to delay me another month (then 2 weeks while trying to use the Remy discount, which Remy himself - again, world class guy! - said they should honor, was disappointing. I effin' love my GT Fury and oddly it went on sale just as the Rage fell thru... perfect timing. I still love the look of the Rage though. Everything was fully in stock back in May tho for the Rage anyway.  

Curious tho: I heard there's a bit of a rattle (maybe interior cable/brake housings) - you ever get that or having any other probs...and or pros / ups to add? Just curious why the re-sale? Other than some rattling, I've heard its a killer DH & park bike.  I'd still consider buying one, but man...that last experience was so drawn out & shitty, makes it hard to consider them again but kinda interested in the Spindrift for pedaling around.  Also: I can never say enough good about Remy - he took time to check in on this, even messaged me direct to ask how it was going - I'm nobody, so it was odd to say "no one seems to be working here."

Yeah there is some noise with the rage frame. The internal cable routing is set up with tubes inside of the frame for your cables to run through. They aren’t bonded to the inside of the frame like many other brands . I stuffed some lightweight acoustic foam in the frame to keep said tubes from jumping around or hitting eachother. It seemed to help with some of the noise. 

No other problems with the bike though. It rides pretty well and can handle the big stuff.

As for me getting rid of it. . I had a deal fall in my lap with a different frame and podium gold fox40 and a bunch of parts from the Rage frame will transfer over.

I've got a Race CF3 that I built up in early 2023. I'm in Vancouver Washington so Propain is local to me, but it was still hard to lock down a frame. My build is actually really similar to this one. A few things I've noted after almost 2 years with the bike lots of shuttle days a few races and trips to Whistler. Initially the bike was very noisy, like almost unbearable. Ditch the garbage chain stay protector they give you and get a VHS one. I also tried the STFU bike, but couldn't commit to the look. After the first 3 months I took the bike back down to the frame and added Velcro and fabric tape to the cables and anywhere they could make contact with the frame, then added some foam to the downtube and top tube to help with the hollow sound. It's taken me a while to get this bike dialed in, way more than I would have anticipated. The biggest improvement I added was an O-chain, highly recommended. Now that the bike is dialed, I can say it is a killer bike for the park and racing. It doesn't quite plow through some of the bigger chunk like other DH bikes but is super poppy and playful, the Pro10 suspension is amazing also.

More good to know stuff. Sounds like a tad hassle, but I also had some silencing to be done on the Fury, but did get it dialed pretty easy w/ STFU and a chain-guide that added a tad of tension...silent now. The hype-pivot did help with that and I'm a fan now for sure. Been seeing Ochains on all the pro bikes so...eventually that seems like a thing. Recalling now reading that the Rage doesn't quite plow thru chunky stuff too. Oddly going up to a 50mm bar and now 80 (not b/c of Dak either, but a buddy who's been riding 80's for DH for years) and I'm having the most fun ever...just that tad bit of height has changed the feel for the better, its a trip. I denied this for a few years thinking it couldn't matter.  Safe shreddin!

So was/is this yr bike (I forgot to say it looked sweet...seems obvious tho).  And I've not ever ridden a dh bike that hasn't had some issue I disliked from the start or that took a while to cipher out. Just seems like it's the way it is. I think I got the e13 lower bash too and that pretty much ended any other sound.
