This year's SRAM booth at Interbike featured a number of pro athlete rides including this Trek Ticket S beauty from Brandon Semenuk. Looking the bike over we were blown away by some of the meticulous details incorporated into the frame and components. It's clear the "tactician" gets his name from more than just a seemingly inhuman and altogether perfect choreography of tricks in his videos and at competitions.
Standout customizations include a tweaked Charger damper in his RockShox Pike DJ fork that allows him to go from fully locked out to open in just 1/8th of a turn, a custom rear brake gyro that has been machined to clear his super short Chromag stem, a cut off lockout lever on the RockShox shock - not only has it been cut off but the area where the cut was made has been smoothed out and painted or anodized black.
The bike features a carbon fiber Truvativ seatpost that has been drastically shortened and enters the frame by only a few inches, tabs for the rear brake gyro integrated into the frame, a Maxle Stealth front axle to keep things super clean, and the use of the inner flange of a Chromag grip to create tension against the cranks so they don't spin when Semenuk's feet are off the pedals during a trick
The chainstays are so short that the lower bridge had to be ground down to clear the main triangle, there's a mechanical rear disc brake with an Odyssey BMX brake lever, and slide-on Chromag grips at a time where almost every mountain biker is rocking lock-ons.
This bike was used just days before the show at Logan Peat's Backwoods Invitational at the Coast Gravity Park before being flown down to Las Vegas for display.
