WINNING BIKE - Jesse Melamed's Rocky Mountain Altitude 28

Jesse Melamed finally gets an Enduro World Series win and he does it aboard Rocky Mountain's trail bike, despite the race being one of the most abusive and technical of the year.

Canadian shredder, Jesse Melamed, takes a Canadian Enduro World Series win aboard his Canadian Rocky Mountain Altitude. Despite the race being one of the most brutal of the season, Jesse rode the Altitude instead of the longer-travel Slayer. Jesse raced the Altitude in Aspen last week to a solid 5th place finish and finally secured the top of the box in Whistler, during the intense one-day race.

Jesse runs things pretty darn light. While he's not very heavy in stature, he's not afraid to smash it on the bike. Shimano XTR brakes and XTR Di2 electronic shifting are weight-weenie, gram-shavers but the most interesting piece of his set-up is his tire pressure. Melamed runs extremely low tire pressures hovering right around the 20psi range! He and mechanic, Jeff Bryson, opted to use the CushCore system and the decision paid off. -photos and interview by @maddogboris
