The R stands for rally. If you're wondering what rally means, it means "ride your bike." Expanding their component line, Race Face introduces a new batch of goods that are similar in usage to their Turbine product line, but with refinements in both materials and performance. Yes, we're referring carbon. With a new crankset, some wide, 800mm handlebars, and a 31mm-wide rim intended for rowdy trail riding, Race Face debuts the Next R range.

Race Face invited us to their U.S. HQ to check out the new parts, and while we did get a chance to briefly ride some of the parts, we're holding back our ride impressions until we get some quality time on our home trails with the new componentry. Race Face is stoked to share the newest edition to our more aggressive Rally lineup, Next R. Paring technical features from our downhill group SixC, with our award winning Next lineup, we have beefed up Next R where it matters most, while keeping the best in weight features so you can be confident, fast, and a little more loose during your ascents and descents. In addition, our CINCH Power Meter comes to play - protected in your BB, our spindle based power meter pairs with our highly adaptable CINCH cranks, expanding the ways you can begin your journey to the wattage cottage.

We get it. If we say Enduro one more time you’re going to burn this sheet. But however you want to brand it, pedal-heavy outings with aggressive all-mountain shredding can be very demanding on cranks. That’s why we’ve taken elements from our SixC designs and incorporated them with the best of Next to make an aggressive all-mountain ready crank that can take you to the EWS podium. Light and strong where it matters most. Racing time or just rallying with friends, feel free to get a bit more sideways with Next R.
