Made some changes to my Ferrum LVN 160. Ferrum created a new shock yoke that allows me to fit 210x55 sized shock so I decided to freshen things up in honor of this update. Added a full Intend suspension kit with a Blackline Ebonite Bandit fork up front and a Hover Gamechanger shock in the rear. Also hit the carbon cranks a few times and was starting to sweat about them breaking so I slapped on some 5DEV Freeride Cranks. Otherwise everything in the same as it was before. Still super stoked on this thing and just hit the biggest jumps I've sent it on thanks to this rig.

Sick bike! What's it like living with Intend suspension in the US? I've always been very interested in it but last time I checked they didn't sell service parts on their website for their forks. The shock looks super easy to service though. Are you able to get service parts from Intend or do you need to mail the suspension to Germany for service?

Well I've only had this suspension for a few weeks... but so far so good. They tuned it for this bike and got it to my door in only 6 days. I think you can buy more than they show on the site but you gotta hit them up directly (tho not totally certain). A big reason for me scoring this suspension is because it looks like I should be able to service them completely on my own. Cornelius is on top of his shit though, dude answers all my questions within hours usually (not sure if he sleeps) and I can tell if I needed something theyd be there to help right away.

That looks sweet, how does the shock handle the lateral loading from the clevis link? It has such a small stanchion, I could see flex causing some issues.

I was initially worried about that as well but the shaft is a good bit thicker than the ones you see on coil shocks and is one solid piece, not hollow like ones you find a DHX2 (where they have the rebound circuit go through). I asked Intend directly and they said they have never seen any shafts break and that I could even run it on my Stumpjumper Evo if I wanted to. It feels totally solid and I've stopped worrying about it since.

Pretty damn good. The lockout on this shock is a true lockout so it feels like riding a hardtail uphill. Haven't had any issues with traction either. I did originally have a coil on this though and even with some movement the bike felt very efficient uphill. Ferrum made a killer bike for sure.
