How big of a difference does the beefier shock make on the downhills as well as the 130 mm of travel and fork compared to the 120 sid on the default spur?

Love the build. I have a Spur myself and I'm wondering how you are enjoying the jump up to 130mm in the front?

For a functioning HSC/LSC circuit! The stock charger 2.1 damper has very weak damping, there are only 3 shims in there. I add a crossover shim stack that actually does something when you turn the dial
I should also note that the top assembly is the version with just LSC adjustment, the "ultimate" version with preloaded HSC dial is not as tunable. You are limited in how big of a shim stack you can install before it is already preloaded by the spring.

I have found the best dampers for me have no preload and are tuned with shim stacks only.

I also make the rebound a touch firmer.

Hi there, awesome bike!

Can you explain how you changed that piggyback reservoir to 62mm. From the picture it looks like it is normal shock... How long is normal reservoire?

Love your build! How does it pedal with 320lb lock on super deluxe shock? I hesitate between deluxe and super deluxe bacause of that lock force difference (320 Vs. 380)

I think it pedals great with the lever flipped, I only flip it for smooth fire roads or pavement though.
It still bleeds enough to settle into sag, feels like it barely moves with out of the saddle efforts.
But I haven't ridden a hardtail in many years.....
