Love these raw videos... they never grow old and always make us wanna ride!. BUT, these videos have to start showing more junior and women riders... there's endless edits of just dudes shredding, but surely we are at place where, as an industry, we have enough awareness of what we're doing/not doing, when it comes to promoting the sport to all ages/sexes/demographics? We can do better and good riding is good riding... and there's plenty of good riding to inspire people outside of the elite men's field. Let's see a women's version of this edit?

That footage of Brook at MSA hauling along the straight might be the fastest I've ever seen someone go on a dh track. Bonkers

Short bikes, strong rear wheels, heavy springrates. It is cool to see the difference in riding style whit the longer bikes. So much more in control with being in the center of the bike compared to changing their weight that much around and to the back of the bike.

Lawlor: first, you’re a fekkin’ legend, and we’re lucky as a 7th grader making it to 3rd base that you’re paid to provide us with this footage for free. Thanks a thousand times.
But, I get the feeling you’re trying to show us SPECIFIC things here: like, rider X at X:12-X:18, watch the difference, or so on... any insights into your edit? I’ve only watched once, but I’d like to know what your editing process was for this RAW? It’s flattering to think that you’ve given us the benefit of the doubt, and want us to figure it out on our own, but if you could pull back the curtain juuuuust a bit...

Thanks man. Very happy to hear you’re stoked on the content. It feels like people were frothing even harder this year for World Cup RAW videos!
Spomer asked me to dig out riders riding rocks then suggested I travel a little further into the past so I dug out my 2010 hard drive. I had originally everything in chronological order on the timeline which was cool but I thought it might be cool to group the shots by location regardless of the year. It jumps back and forth which is cool as you can see Mick Hannah hitting the same section of track in 2010 followed immediately by Gwin seven years later.
I guess to answer your question on editing process, I wanted to visually show how far bikes have come since 2010 by putting shots of the fastest in the World side by side with more recent shots. I find it fascinating that the bikes of 2010, at the time, couldn’t have been more dialled. Everything was perfect, yet with the passing of time, it seems so obvious that there was huge room for improvement.
It makes me wonder what bikes will look like in 10 years time and what way we will look back on the bikes of 2020.

After watching this video I hope there is a RAW Evolution with bike mechanical carnage. The aftermath of crashes and brutal tracks that leaves a trail of bike destruction. Broken wheels, frames, parts, etc.
