That was some good riding. I like to see the almost OTB parts. Solid riding for a test...POV always makes it look smoother than real life. That test right there counts in my book.

Nice to have an edit of mere-mortal type riding, complete with "almost died. Whoooooo!" at the end. I can relate!

This was just one of many trails used to test the bikes. Unfortunately we're unable to post our video footage from the burlier trails (think non-stop rock action). While this trail is on the smoother side of the spectrum, it still offers some great perspective on how the bikes handle slalom-style terrain. We typically only rode it on short travel bikes, like the Intense Spider shown here.

I appreciate Vital not posting video (or names) of the "good" trails in SLO.
As you now know there are some sick ones that need to stay on a need to know basis.

And this trail is not in San Luis Obispo, but half hour away in Montana de Oro State Park. And it's fully legit.

this trail looks like heaps of fun but Jay is right, that is full blown XC. Surely we can see some of the burly stuff?

It's true. Canadians don't recognize the importance of suspension in this phenomenon that occurs elsewhere in the world called ">15mph". Real suspension testing comes from 3mph stem humping off 5ft drops to splat and ramming into bulbous granite lumps uphill so that you can drag your ass with your brakes also dragging on the other side into a hole.

Seriously......you watch a fanny pack in your face for 3 minutes and that's your complaint?
