Healing vibes to the Lapierre rider. If they walked away from that one, I'd be pleasantly surprised.

Those bikes sound like my bike in less rockier sections. They're pro. I'm not. Case closed.

Can't believe how quiet the pro's bikes are these days. Rough as guts rock gardens and all you can hear is tires.

I think the clutch derailleur has made the biggest difference in bike noise. It's amazing what a difference it makes. I put one on my trail bike and went 1x10 with no front mech and the bike literally doesn't make a sound. Seems like such a simple idea to add a clutch, not sure why it took the companies so long.
