Bike Check: Kyle Strait's GT Fury

View as: Slideshow | One Page
Slayodic Kyle Strait introduces you to his 2012 carbon GT Fury.
Before we check out his bike, take a glimpse at his DIY slip-on Vans...
Strait runs a Large Fury, which gets 210mm of rear wheel travel.
The RockShox Vivid coil is on the Fury right now, but Kyle also runs a Vivid Air when conditions call for it.
RockShox BoXXer World Cup up front, in black because, "it looks sweet."
His Vivid coil has a 450lb spring.
Kyle's Sensus Swayze grips have a little somethin' extra...
The Meaty Paw should be available in the near future and is perfect for riders with bigger hands.
Truvativ Boobar at 780mm width and Truvativ direct-mount stem.
Brake lever position is something Kyle is particular about.
170mm Truvativ X0 carbon cranks with a Truvativ X0 chainguide keep Kyle moving.
X0 from top to bottom, with 10-speed drivetrain and "big dog" 38t front ring.
HT Components MNAT06 pedals are durable and light at 280 grams. Kyle removes the center pins for a more concaved feel.
Avid X0 brakes with "big dog" rotors grace Kyle's Fury right now. When it gets steeper, he prefers to run Codes.
SDG I-Fly saddle for Kyle's DH build.
Lyle doing his second-favorite thing, manning the grill!
Video is processing. Try again soon.
THANKS KYLE!
