The winningest World Cup Downhill mountain bike racer of all time added another win his long list yesterday. Greg Minnaar, at the age of 38, won his 22nd World Cup DH race in Lousa, Portugal, aboard this Santa Cruz V10. The interesting part of the build is that he is not on the longer, custom rear end that we'd seen him on last year and earlier this year. Shimano, FOX, Burgtec and Maxxis goods adorn the bike and for 2020, only a Santa Cruz has won a World Cup DH.

Here's what we were told about the setup from a Syndicate mechanic:

The top and the bottom of the track are relatively flat and you have to carry and generate speed where every you can. The shorter rear end is a bit quick under acceleration and easier to pump through sections to keep or generate the speed. Or at least that’s what we were thinking. We started the week on Assegais, and they were good as the track was a little slicker. As it dried out we swapped to DHR II because it rolls faster.
