I would love to try a "trail" bike like this with a dual crown. I bet we'll see DC trail forks in the not-too-distant future.

I rode my Firebird like that for most of the season (with the Bartlett), it was rad. You can gain a bit of travel and a lot of stiffness without affecting geometry. Plus, direct mount stems are the best thing ever for people who can't align stems.

My OCD would appreciate the DM stem for just that reason.

What are the chances MRP is going to make a notched/splined/oblong steerer tube for a single crown with an accompanying stem to never worry about alignment??? I'm available for hire, Noah!

I'll curse you and you'll have diarrhea for the rest of your life if you ever steal my idea of a hexagonal steerer tube for single crown forks. I just need to get to some top industry folks with this, and we will all be blessed with faster bike assembling times after a trip or a headset service/change.
