Connor Fearon took the Port Angeles ProGRT win aboard his 27.5-inch Kona Supreme Operator. Connor is riding a size Medium prototype equipped with custom chainstays that allow the larger 27.5-inch wheel size to fit into the frame. Looking at the photos you'll notice that the distance between the rear axle and rear-most pivot has been extended. Kona may have tweaked other frame parts as well (seatstays, rocker link, etc) to adjust the geometry as needed. To date Kona does not offer the Supreme in the 27.5 size, and as market pressure continues to grow it's not unreasonable to expect them to eventually produce the bike shown here for the public. Don't fret, 26-inch for life fans, chances are good they'll still offer a little wheel steed as well, true to their roots.
