ION K_Pact_Select Pads

ION have made a name for themselves in watersports, and are now looking to make the same impact in bike world. They showed the innovative K_Pact_Select, a knee/shin pad that features SAStech, another one of those new soft materials that stiffen under impact. ION also innovate with their “Tectonic Fit” – which is basically a sort of hinge, where the shin part of the guard can move relative to the kneepad itself by sliding under it, sort of like tectonic plates in the earth’s crust. The K_Pact_Select won a Eurobike 2013 award, and is available in Europe for EUR 149. The brand is not yet distributed in North America, but look out for that to happen going forward.
