Speedplay is well known in the road world, and they are making a push in the MTB clipless market with the Szyr pedal. It rotates on needle and cartridge bearings, has up to 10-degrees of float and is surrounded by a composite cage for durability. Speedplay mentioned the strong possibility of a gravity oriented pedal with a larger cage in the future.
