Nico played a large role in the design and testing of the 2014 Lapierre models, including the decision to move to 650B. On his test track, he consistently saved one second over a 2:50 run. While not huge gain, every second counts at the races.

That kinda says it all...

A 1 second improvement over 170 seconds (2:50) is a .6% gain.

Nice for racers where every second counts. But for the rest of the population... Meh.

I still prefer a more flickable & playful ride over high speed plow (which can be fun at times).
