Move along, nothing to see here. Or is there? We heard from a bird that the Syndicate is on tires that feature *Breaker* construction. They want to go back to a set-up that doesn't use inserts. Maxxis thinks building a sturdier tire is the answer, so the Breaker build has a prototype insert built into the center area of the tire. The penalty is 50 grams per tire, but if they work against flat protection and offer some damping characteristics without the hassle of an insert, the decision would seem like a no-brainer. Luca qualified in 1st place on them today, so all that's left to see is how they go in just a few hours for finals.
