There's a common misconception that your bike is covered under home owner's and renter's insurance (it often isn't, at least fully or when you're traveling), so we were excited to bump into the folks from Spoke Bicycle Insurance. They offer a stand alone insurance policy - meaning if you use it, it won't affect your other premiums. It covers theft, liability, damage, and even roadside assistance if you want it. The premium runs 8-10% of the insured value per year, and there's a small $100 deductible should you make a claim. Limits are as high as $100,000 liability, $25,000 per occurrence, and $50,000 aggregate for uninsured motorists. Spoke says this is the first of its kind in America.
