The 2010 Trek Session 8 comes with a Fox DHX 4.0 rear shock. Since the Session 8 is an affordable complete bike, top-of-the-line suspension components are not a stock item, but this DHX has a custom "race tune" which should be more than capable for the abuse of summer lift riding.
