The majority of the bike's travel pivots around the lower link, but the upper link is engaged in the final portion of travel to allow the effective pivot to follow the chainline. The secondary link is said to remove the flex and unwanted stress between the stays found in most single pivot designs, and it allowed them to eliminate the brakejack pivot commonly seen in the dropout area. The bike is expected to be available in February. We'll be putting some saddle time in on one soon, so watch for our ride impressions.
