Lots of riders are choosing alloy where they can, the trek team literally said dont even bother with the carbon as the alloy rides so good.

Trek doesn't have a carbon bike because less and less DH bikes are made out of carbon due to the investment required and low sales volumes. Same goes for Specialized.

When there is a case of a brand offering both options, all the top riders ride carbon as it makes sense for the brand to market 'the best for the best'. And carbon is touted as the best.

So yeah, who is riding an aluminium Gambler?? o.O
