Once upon a time there was this thing called Interbike. It was a long-running cycling tradeshow in Las Vegas that gasped its last breath a few years ago. Generally held in September, cycling industry companies would bring their new-fangled wares to show off to buyers and media for three hellish indoor days. Professional athletes would attend to shake hands or hustle new contracts for the following season. On the tradeshow floor, most of the discussions revolved around how awful it was to be stuck in a mammoth convention center surrounded by casinos and smoking slot machine tuggers. Well, that's what I usually talked about.
Take a trip back to 2005 when dirt jumpers and downhill bikes were all the rage, carbon was just catching on and triple ring drivetrains were the norm. These were shot when I was an editor for decline magazine, and unlike Interbike attendees who never saw the light of day in that depressing building, it's time to let these photos out to see the light of day.

Pictured Above: Iron Horse Type 6
Based on the label on the downtube, I think this is a shorter-travel Iron Horse Sunday prototype that Sam Hill rode at Sea Otter. If you have actual info on the bike, post it up!
