A flatter, more pedally track would cater to more antisquat and riders would probably be prepared to deal with a bit more pedal kickback in order to gain some pedalling efficiency. It's vice versa on steeper, rougher tracks where you don't need to pedal as much but need as little feedback from the pedals as possible.

One thing to note is that a high pivot suspension layout gives a relatively high antisquat value without the effect of the chain (on a more normal suspension layout without an idler pivot the chain pulls the suspension towards the 0 mm travel point and gives a lot of antisquat, on a high pivot suspension layout the pivot location itself causes the wheel to want to 'fold under the bike', effectively giving quite a lot of antisquat. You might even want to tune the chain in such a way that it would promote squat if the antisquat from the geometry itself was too high.

TL;DR for the last paragraph is that a normal layout gives you either good antisquat or no pedal kickback, but both can actually be achieved with a high pivot layout.
