well well well, the Scratch is a ripper!! Who needs a Slash actually? I'm happy finally, other than the whole experience of 4 months, LBS not capable, but the bike is a killer ripper, up and down!!

Trek needs to fire some of their Product Managers!!! How many millions of dollars did they waste between the 2008/2009 Remedy to the Scratch Air ( who the hell specced that Air version of that bike??) and now the Slash!!!!

And I am so pissed off because I had a 2009 Remedy 9 frame that cracked in the head tube (ALL of you REMEDY 2009/2008 people CHECK YOUR INTERNAL HEAD tubing for CRACKS!!!!). I asked for a Scratch as warranty replacement because the three other people who had 2008/2009 Remedy's ALL had this problem!! A 110lb girl had this problem!! And switching to the Scratch cost me just a bit more than $1000 to do that (a few things can't be swapped out and i had to pay the labour and.... and .... and.... !!).
And NOW they have the Slash, which is approximately the 2008/2009 frame with some of the issues fixed!!!!!!! And a few improvements ( I admit it) But this is the replacement to a 2008/2009 Remedy, not the Scratch.

I pick my Scratch up today in fact, I'll pay for it, and I HOPE I"M NOT PISSED OFF FOR LONG!!!!!!!!

And my LBS is a retard. He cut my bars off because he didn't realize he could remove the matchmaker shifter / brake levers without removing the grips (which were lock ons!!!!!!!!!!!) my got.... everywhere I turn with this warranty issue, my blood pressure rises... and it took 4 months!!!

sorry for ranting...... but it can't be so ridiculous can it???

It is Manitou on both ticket bikes....I think they stepped back a couple of years on those. On the bright side the Slash was a complete blast to ride...they hit the nail on the head with that bike.
