One of the wildest drivetrains we’ve ever seen on a bike. Using two free hub-like mechanisms on each side of the rear hub and these steam-punk-looking devices to pull at the crank, the Stringbike uses, well… strings to drive the wheels. The bike even has different “gears,” which can be changed without the need to pedal, by a pretty traditional-looking shifter mounted on the bars which actually moves the front string pulley up or down and effectively changes the leverage ratio the cranks have on the rear hub. Now if only they'd partner up with Slingshot and we'd have a winner.
