Kask may not be a familiar brand to the gravity mountain biking crowd, but the Italian brand is ready to make some moves. They've been around since 2004 and have already made a big impact on the road scene with several industry firsts and a notable presence on Team Sky's heads.
The prototype shown here is still in development and will likely see some changes before production. Current features include an integrated light/camera mount, adjustable visor, goggle compatibility, and goggle retention system.
A large "X" shape at the rear of the helmet inspired the Rex name.
The retention system is very adjustable, allowing the helmet to fit many head shapes/sizes.
The Rex is set for an ambitious February 2015 delivery date. It'll retail for $180.
