It's not often you see Greg baffled. But he has two days left to switch lines and find a whole lot of time. He will be taking practice seriously tomorrow. -Sven Martin
We told you Floriane Pugin of Scott11 was fast. Fastest qualifier today and I matched that with slowest shutter speed today. Photo by Gary Perkin
Gee Atherton was 5 seconds back today and will be going all out on Sunday with nothing to lose. But is 5 seconds too much to make up on this short course? Time will tell. -Sven Martin
At qualifying in Silverstone F1 it's all about tire warmers and pits setups. Same as GT really! Photo by Gary
Mick Hannah took a big digger in last practice today, right in front of the course builder who put in "his" rock last year. Sometimes you just have to pick yourself up and get on with the job! Photo by Gary Perkin
Tracy Moseley of Trek World Racing didn't have it all her own way today, just like last year where she made up 11 seconds here. Photo by Gary Perkin
Andrew Neethling is no saint. But he still got a top ten finish today with a conservative run. He will be wanting that protected top twenty plate back so he can go all out in quali's again. Expect him to move up in the finals. -Sven Martin
Lauren Daney an East Coast U.S. junior, born in '93 qualified for the finals today. She gets loose in the rocks this morning. Good job. -Sven Martin
Seeing as everyone is being all patriotic in the comments, I'm gonna hang it out in the photos - Tim Bentley from my home town of Pietermaritzburg pinning through the woods in finals. Photo by Gary Perkin
Mitch Qualifyalota does the math on the splits at Windham. Nice work by the young 'un with 11th in qualies! Photo by Gary Perkin
Ben Reid was flying today. Literally. His 54th place quali result does not reflect the pace he had in sections of this course. Wall-riding off tree pads and gapping almost the entire rockgarden...if he can put the whole track together like he rides the sections he will easily be top ten or higher. -Sven Martin

Eliot Jackson, mandatory huck to flat.
There is no one more USA than Curtis Keene (well except Kyle Strait). This is in a super high-speed section you have to monster truck through after the shale awkward step down into a fast tree lined corner. Keene on the gas. -Sven Martin
Flip sides of the same qualifying coin - Joey Schusler and Elliot Jackson of Yeti - one qualified, one didn't. Photo by Gary Perkin
Let us know the rider. Off the lunch box towards the finish.
One of these guys is stoked, the other not so much. Sven drops off all his suspension for Jon Cancellier to, as the job card says, "Blackbox the sh!t out of it"! Photo by Gary Perkin
Aaron Gwin of Trek World Racing showed how it is done today with a run that was close to perfect, but not quite. Photo by Gary Perkin
When I went to the main rocks today it was fuller than a full thing with photogs and flashes. So I went elsewhere in search of that shot. Not sure if it works but Brendog always looks good. Photo by Gary Perkin

Matthew Scoles from NZ has quietly been getting the job done all season under the radar. Another top twenty for this smooth rider. -Sven Martin
Brook Macdonald, another third. We all knew he was capable but no one would of thought he would have been consistently capable!
Rachel Atherton took the second spot here today. Last year she pulled back a big deficit to take the win, can she do the same on Sunday? -Sven Martin
Austin 'Bubba' Warren, Cody's younger brother, qualified top 50 today in his second World Cup. Born in '94, he is learning fast under Cody and Aaron Gwin's wing. -Sven Martin
