Tracy Moseley is serious about our sport. Despite her best season ever and winning loads this year, she is still overcome by emotion when the national anthems are played! Relief at the end of a tough season! Photo by Gary Perkin
Another year, another famous corner roost shot from Danny. I can't wait to see what he has in store for us during round two 2012. Photo by Borris Zee crazy German
Yeah boyz! Two titles in DH Elite Men and Women overalls. What more can you ask for? Fox Shox keeping it consistent. -Sven Martin
I don't think any words I put here will add anything to the awesomeness of this image of Myrium Nicole in the final turn on her way to victory! Photo by Gary Perkin
A worthy women's World Cup podium in Val di Sole. Pompon takes the win, the flying banana, Floriane Pugin, second and a recovering Rachel Atherton 3rd. Photo by Gary Perkin
Without a protractor or an angle finder it's impossible to say what kind of lean Troy Brosnan has going on here. All we know is that it is enough to make a World Cup podium as a junior! Photo by Gary Perkin

Greg may be one of the fastest riders in the World on a bicycle but Eliot Jackson has all the moves when it comes to the dance floor. Here he preps Minnaar on some moves before tonight's big party. -Sven Martin
Shirtless fans, chainsaws, sirens - it could be heckler rock in Whistler, but it's not. This is World Cup finals in Val di Sole baby! Photo by Gary Perkin
Gwin has quietly taken care of business this season. Today was no different. Behind all the media attention and there is still a very humble and deserving champion, today he proved it yet again. The only Male Elite DH rider to ever take 5 wins in one season. -Sven Martin
As the same says. Mick will always and forever be known as Sik Mick. -Sven Martin
Less bar bills and more barbell curls for Greg Minnaar next season. But first it's party time. Photo by Gary Perkin
The view the other racers had of Aaron Gwin all season, seeing him disappear into the distance! An awesome season from the SoCal dude! Congrats! Photo by Gary Perkin
Jon Cancellier is a huge part of his SRAM / RockShox riders' success. Minute adjustments make all the difference. Danny and Beaumont wind down after a hectic year. -Sven Marin
I think Danny Hart is determined to make this his turn and not Sam Hill's. After all, he has been super loose here twice and not hit the deck. I'm also sure he planned this moment from the start! Photo by Gary Perkin
Stevie Smith was one of my top two picks this weekend, unfortunately his first practice run went horribly wrong right at the end. A high speed swap and crash did some ankle and ligament damage. Heal up. -Sven Martin
No Monk, we salute YOU! Cheers! -Sven Martin
While the crowd wasn't Fort William or Nove Mesto-epic, the fans were cool and boisterous and they definitely had their favorites! Cam Cole jumps into the finish bowl. Photo by Gary Perkin
The top women impressed me immensely today. I shot from the finish arena and could watch their runs live on the big screen, any guy would be stoked if they could ride as well as the girls on the podium today.
Your women's DH winner today, Myrium Nicole. -Sven Martin
The World Cup finals is all about the overall. Gee checks the points and sees just how close he came to Minnaar with two throwaway results. 2012 will be another campaign. -Sven Martin
Florian has had a great year and kept it tight and interesting in the women's title race. She will be looking forward to Champery, almost her home track. Can she go one better? We will see. -Sven Martin
This is the first time a Syndicate rider has missed the podium in something like 2 1/2 years. Minnaar finished sixth today but is already motivated for the new year. -Sven Martin

Description
The roughest track of the 2011 downhill season still can't stop Aaron Gwin from securing the final top spot of the UCI World Cup. Danny Hart rounds out his season with his best finish ever, 2nd while fellow Brit, Gee Atherton takes 3rd. Myrium Nicole narrowly wins the women's race by less than a second, but Tracy Moseley makes the math work and takes home the UCI World Cup overall in Italy.
