It's a rumours page, and Gee says "Roomazzz (rumours)" in the video... I figured it was fair game, and a bit of fun, didnt realise the page was only for facts Wink

No sure where Neethling is going?

Assume Williamson still on Cube?

Looks like it will be an awesome year, hopefully they have some gnarlier tracks...?

Will be odd without Peaty or Bryceland

This just in from Norco:

Joe Smith & Henry Fitzgerald Join Sam Blenkinsop on Norco Factory Racing

Norco Bicycles is proud to announce its continued support of Norco Factory Racing, which has added Joe Smith and Henry Fitzgerald to its 2017 roster along with returning rider Sam Blenkinsop.

The team will compete internationally with a full race schedule that includes the UCI World Cup downhill circuit, Crankworx series, and select Enduro World Series events. As part of the Norco Race Development program, Norco Factory Racing athletes also play an important role in the design and testing of Norco Bicycles.

JOE SMITH

Joe Smith joins Norco Factory Racing from CRC Paypal, his team since 2011. With a résumé that includes top-10 World Cup and EWS finishes in 2016, the 2015 British Downhill Series overall title, and 2nd at the 2015 Redbull Hardline, Joe is a proven performer well known for his talent and style.

“I’m excited for a fresh start in 2017 with Norco Factory Racing. It’s going to be fun working with such an iconic brand as Norco. I’m also excited about working with many new brands, and continuing with the likes of SRAM and Schwalbe, which I feel are the best out there. I’ve looked up to Blenki since I started racing, and can’t wait to join him on the team. With Todd’s reputation as a trainer and manager, I think it’s going to be a good year!”

SAM BLENKINSOP

Entering his third year with Norco Factory Racing, four-time New Zealand National Champion Sam Blenkinsop is looking to add to his impressive career results, which also include podium finishes at nine World Cups, two World Championships, 11 Crankworx events, and 3 Enduro World Series events.

"I'm looking forward to working with Norco Factory Racing again for the 2017 – 2018 season, and building on our past 2 years together.  With new teammates and some new and exciting challenges for the team...I’m stoked!”

HENRY FITZGERALD

West Vancouver’s Henry Fitzgerald joins Norco Factory Racing as he enters his first year in the Elite field. Henry enjoyed a successful 2016 season as a Junior, including 7th at the Mont Sainte-Anne World Cup, 8that the Vallnord World Cup, and 3rd in the Crankworx Whistler Canadian Open DH.

"Joining the Norco factory team is an unreal opportunity for me. The team is the full package with an exciting bike, outstanding support, and an awesome crew. I can't wait to get stuck into my first year of Elite with such a great team to learn from.” – Henry Fitzgerald

“This past fall I had a chance to shred some laps with Henry (Fitzgerald) in Whistler…and not only was his speed good…the guy just loves to ride! He reminded me of myself when I was his age. I think we’ll help each other this year.” – Sam Blenkinsop

Has anyone worked out the whole poem?

I tried to work it out but not smart enough...

Once upon time, a boat was sent,
To the south it sailed,
Many sights it saw,
A Trojan horse(brosnan) crossing chasms both far and wide,
In it was stowed a Scotsman (Cunningham),
With shore(Wallace) on the horizon a new vision appeared(canyon),
Built with wood working tools from Merthyr(carpenter),
and able to withstand chemical 86(radon),
A sight of beauty,
a melting of cultures were seen,
Haggis, Croissants, Sushi and Kumara(Gallagher),
The seas flattened,
Dogs took their last supper on alpine heights(peaty and bryceland?),
The air was still, but the storm passed by,
Broken suddenly,
A blue oval, roaring like the hounds of hell,
A bull upon its crown and a new fire burning(seagrave redbull lid),
After sound came sight,
and smell
A rich mix, departing into the distance and out of our beams,
There we sat, longing , dreaming
50 stars we saw floating over,(neko)
a vision of valleys in a princes kingdom,
with that we slept,
knowing,
waiting,
that one day soon,
a winning yeti we could come forth(rude looking to do a couple of races),
and join
the purest church of all.”

A Trojan horse crossing chasms both far and wide - Troy to Canyon

In it was stowed a Scotsman - Ruaridh Cunningham (from Stow) to Canyon or Radon

Built with wood working tools from Merthyr, and able to withstand chemical 86 - Manon to Radon

A sight of beauty, a melting of cultures were seen, Haggis, Croissants, Sushi and Kumara - Kenta Gallagher, Loris and Blenki at Norco

Dogs took their last supper on alpine heights - Brendog off Scott

A rich mix, departing into the distance and out of our beams - Josh Bryceland (50:01 mix) leaving for a while

A blue oval, roaring like the hounds of hell, A bull upon its crown and a new fire burning - Gee focusing on rallying? (https://instagram.com/p/BMMuuHkhtLG/)

A winning yeti we could come forth, and join the purest church of all. - Richie Rude coming back to DH

From Descent-World FB page: “We're also hearing rumours of an american heading to london living…..?” - With Gstaad Scott folding, Neko to Pivot?

Also, a source at CRC said that if any of their riders would be leaving the team, it would be Joe Smith. Hill is already committed to EWS next season though so I don't think there'll be too much change there.
I gave it a go way back when. Not 100% right at the time but some correct:

Troy & Ruaridh to Canyon
Kenta Gallagher at Polygon
Scott no longer sponsored by Gstaad
Bryceland taking some time off
Nothing more about Gee other than the Atherton's are staying on Trek
Lots of rumours still going round about Richie Rude
Neko to YT, so another American to Pivot?
Joe Smith left Nukeproof and now at Norco

Good shout on Tahnée's lid though, didn't spot that

- Trojan horse - Troy Brosan
- Chasms both far and wide - Canyon
- Scotsman - Cunningham

Troy Brosnan to Canyon with Cunningham, maybe they didn’t know Mark Wallace was joining yet.

- Wood working tools from Merthyr - Manon Carpenter
- Chemical 86 - Radon

Mannon Carpenter to Radon.

- Haggis, Sushi - Kenta Gallagher
- Croissants - Alex Fayolle // Fabien Cousinie
- Kumara - Maybe a slightly off reference to the Hannah’s. “Sweet potatoes are sometimes called kumara in Australia…” even though it’s typically a Kiwi thing.

Kenta Gallagher to join Alex Fayolle, Fabien Cousine, and the Hannah’s on Polygon UR.

- Dogs - Brendan Fairclough
- Alpine heights - Gstaad

Gstaad and Scott / Fairclough part ways. Brendon still on Scott w/ Claudio.

- Blue oval - Ford
- Bull upon its crown - Gee Atherton

This to me makes the most sense that Gee really likes racing rally, and not that he’s retiring.

- A rich mix - 50:01 / Josh Bryceland : Steve Peat
- Departing - Retiring

Both Josh and Steve retire from racing full time.

- 50 stars - Neko Mulally
- Prince’s kingdom - No clue

Neko to YT, no idea if there’s a reference to YT in that second line.

- Winning Yeti - Richie Rude
- Purest church of all - World Cup Downhill

Richie to race select world cup rounds.

6 races for a World Cup title is complete bullshit, imo. I feel like the UCI isn't trying hard enough. discuss.

Saw Troy Bronson and his new canyon smashing things to pieces today at a national round in Aus. By all accounts Graeme Mudd on a new factory deal too. Boom.

Completely should be at least 8.
The WC rounds will be 7 this year - http://www.vitalmtb.com/news/news/UCI-Announces-2017-Rules-Changes-and-… - at first were announced only 6, later on was added DHI in Lenzerheide. But yeah, definitely will be nice to have a few more rounds.
