Could the TDS Enduro be one of the best mountain bike events ever? We're not alone in saying so, and dozens of Pro riders agree. What the Sanchez family and their community in Grass Valley, California have created goes well beyond the norm. Picture a private 240-acre ranch covered with rowdy trails, a fleet of UTV shuttle vehicles, dialed event logistics, hundreds of spectators having a blast, unlimited Ol’ Republic brews, and all the fun.
This invite-only event tested the best with its rocky terrain, steep pitches, and sometimes slippery conditions. Last year's race winners, Joanna Petterson and Marco Osborne, were forced out due to crashes. The stages also claimed Mitch Ropelato, Shane Leslie, Evan Turpen, and more. In the end, young guns Martha Gill and Duncan Nason took home top honors by keeping things upright and smooth in stacked fields.
Cheers to WTB for hosting us, as well as the Sanchez family and all the volunteers for putting on such a fun race. Until next year!
