It's finally here - practice day at EWS Burke. Today, the world's best enduro racers took on five stages, including the famous Rude Awakening trail which drops nearly 600 vertical metres from the very top of Burke Mountain all the way down to the event village. Conditions were somewhat treacherous earlier in the day, after overnight rain dampened the dirt and put a deadly shine on polished roots.
With a great mix of trails on offer, from rocky tech to perfect loamy corners, this course has a little bit of everything and will challenge even the most well-rounded riders. We can't wait to see the racing it delivers this weekend.
