Mixed Wheel Sizes, Longer Chainstays, and Adjustable Reach - Neko Mulally Does More Off Season Testing 4

One of the major things on my list to test on my bike was the reach and chainstays since I am able to adjust both! I wanted to know what the feeling would be like and get familiar with all of my options so I am prepared for any track and any condition.

Another thing with mullet set ups from a full 29'r or 650b frame is that the reach shortens whether going down in the back or up in the front. I've been running WC headsets for about 4 years now without issue and they really help out if you don't size up on a frame, or have a frame that can't adjust the Seat and CS length like the Nicolai/Geometron G1.

Enjoying these a lot.
I'm finding the longer the CS the better (for my XL sized bike) and this is on a trail bike. Front traction without all the extra work of heavily weighting the front is the reason.

Interesting idea Nico mentions that extra grip is coming from your feet! I totally agree with you and TeamRobot in his (totally sweet) Inside Line Podcast— as a over 6ft tall person the longer chainstay bikes always feel better especially in flat turns and such, with seemingly no downside.
