wow another WC DH track that i could easily ride my trail bike down yay. i dont tune in to watch the worlds best cruise down smooth paved dirt and hit a few tables on full DH machines. These bikes are capable of taming insane tracks and difficult lines.......yet this is what the uci gives us. Ill be watching the ews if anyone needs me

How you watching EWS? We get an 8 minute course preview, 5 minute tech talk and then 16 minute wrap-up video 3 days after.

Another short,bike park track. Not even a rockgarden or other distinctive feature.
Could it be that right now it's more thriling watching a EWS live timing page than this?

It is the same track indeed, it's a lot gnarlier than this video makes it seem. It's not the most technical, but still really steep and traction will be a big issue at higher speeds. Also, with how soft the dirt is over there, I predict the track will turn to shit by day 2

They had to move locations because they couldn't fit the XC and DH into the same space. Le Bresse has hosted XC and DH world cups in the past but not at the same time. So they had to move the DH 15 km down the road, this is what was said on one of the Red Bull videos.

When I heard La Bresse was on the calendar I got pretty excited especially with the track that was raced in 2011. There’s some nice flowing corners on this but I’m left a little disappointed as it doesn’t come close in terms of the old beast.

Yeah, we were also kinda hoping that they would use the 2011 track again...but if Croatia taught us anything, it's that until the racers show up and start laying down laps, you just don't know how a new track/venue will play out. Pierre-Charles Georges told us they will do some work to link a hip into those tables, clean out the lower woods and build a new jump somewhere in the grassy fields towards the end. He also said the track is short and very fast, and that he expects really close times.

Really that lesson should have been learned from the previews of the original La Bresse track that was so widely criticized online for being ‘flat and grassy’. This definitely looks different, but the dirt looks soft and natural and the track generally follows the fall line. It could rough up nicely after a few hundred racers have their way with it.

Agreed. Plus it looks like there are some good spots for some wide taping which could make line choice interesting
