Indian Point - A Western Colorado Adventure
We love Colorado and we love making movies about the CO lifestyle. Ruby Canyon Cycles took us on a great adventure this time!
Indian Point trail descends a gnarly drop-in from a spearpoint at the top of the Grand Mesa at over 10,000ft and descends to the crisp, clear waters of Kannah Creek below 6,000ft. It's an uncanny combination of ecosystems; starting without trees and thousand-foot exposures over the rim, descending through Aspen groves lush with green vegetation, through streams and around lakes, down through grossly overgrown oak brush (bring your GPS for lost trails), and finally into the heat of the desert valley floor below dotted with Pinyon Pines and Sagebrush. The trail terrain is equally as dynamic.
It's a hidden gem of mountain biking in Western CO that offers more diverse terrain and descent than any other trail locally, and you can make it as big of an adventure as you choose!
Special thanks to Mike Howse at SRAM for custom building our fat tire bob trailer attachment. There's no way we would've made it down without it.
