Q: Are rims 50x stronger nowadays?......1st Macaskill couldn’t break his rims in his last vid......now this. I remember back in 2012, I needed a whole new wheel built- after a day of trying nollie 180s on Mavic Dees .

I once did a ride in Santa Cruz, in Aptos realy at Nicene Marks, where the sidewall of my rear rim blew out at the top of the six or eight mile fire road climb. I took the tire and tube off and just bombed back down the hard packed road. By the bottom, a lot more of the side wall had broken off and the rest was well packed with mud. No rear brakes!
