Dean Lucas Making Light Work of the Brioude French Cup Course

So good to finally be back racing in Europe! Even though the off-season seemed to go quicker than ever it's always nice to meet back up with all the guys and girls and push against the clock.

Super fun track to ride here in Brioude but a tricky one to race, with no room for error and the track slowly deteriorating over the weekend it was shaping up for an interesting race.

Before Seeding the main goal was to just stay warm, the temperature dropping down around 5 degrees, happily I'm finally wearing FIST gloves so that made it a little nicer.

Run was tricky to get into at the start but seemed to flow into it more towards the bottom but still managed to make a heap of silly mistakes which saw me land into 13th.

For the race run the sky's opened up and the rain came down which surprisingly actually made the top of the track ride better besides a few slippery rocks here and there, for the bottom though it was a different story with a heap of icy corners what you didn't quite know how hard to push in.
Finals run felt messy but with the conditions the way they were I think everyone was feeling the same way.
I landed myself in 14th with a time of 1:36.93.

The winning time by Loris VERGIER was a 1:34.40
