He wasn't complaining about his lot in life, he was saying that building a composites factory from scratch is very difficult and the ROI is limited when you can't instantly scale volume in the far east, which is all true. Have you tried?

$4k frames aren't my thing, but I can appreciate the level of design and detail he brings to these projects.

You do realize that $4K isn't much for a frame these days? He's doing it almost all local, and from scratch, and without too much background in carbon engineering. The Trek Slash C frameset retails for $3799. The Specialized S-Works Demo 8 frame has a price of $4000. The Yeti SB165 has a retail price for the frame at $4000. This guy is doing something unique, and he's delivering it at around the same price as the biggest names in the business. His production numbers are less, I'm sure he doesn't have the buying power that the big names do for OEM pricing, and his company isn't as efficient. This should only be applauded.
