12 Years Old and Turning Wrenches - Trailcraft Maxwell Bike Build 7


Jamie Alackness had their 12-year-old son build his Trailcraft Maxwell from the frame up. It's pretty radical to see the young ones building their own rides!

Thanks for the inspiration! building and maintaining your bike should be part of the experience for the new generation of riders. I hope to pass on the tradition to my girls🙏🏼

Thanks It took him around three hours to build it up. It was a really smooth build. TrailCraft makes a really nice frame. Quality, fit and finish reminds me of my Titus. Moro-Lite.

Thanks for the heads up. Hadn't heard of this brand before. Will keep an eye on them for when my little guy gets bigger.

Nice! He's got my sealant spreading technique. And nice homemade internal system. I made my own with some hydraulic line and some of those little Sram trinkets. So figure he could telecommute to BTI and have his bike diploma by the end of Junior High and do the Olympic Training Camp course on High School summers and be ready to hit the big time after graduation. Or... Preferably, get to a good engineering school and get a degree. Either way I can see a bright future.
