Vital RAW

The 2023 Downhill Rockies season kicked off at Angel Fire, New Mexico, this past weekend with over 200 racers in attendance. The abusive Angel Fire track was showing all of its teeth with dry, dusty conditions. Young upstart, Asa Vermettte, stomped on the Pro Men's field with a 12-second victory at 4:02:55 and Maylei Leanagh broke the 5-minute barrier winning the Pro Women's class by over 8 seconds with a 4:59.40.

Man...I long for stuff like that...just a beat down that lets you say "This is why I need a 40lb DH bike with 200mm of plush travel dear!" to that doubtful missus.
