iXS European DH Cup Race Recap - Semmering, Austria
Good times and tight racing. Semmering hosted a great third round of this years iXS European Downhill Cup. More than 250 riders from 34 nations entered the race and were in for a prime weekend of racing. With Austrian champs being held during Saturday's seeding run, big names like David Trummer and Vali Holl made their appearance. Both were able to clinch the title and some fashion.
Sunday's finals saw great battles. Stefano Introzzi and Marlena Neissl took their very first iXS EDC win in the elite classes. Current overall leader Luka Berginc, who won the first two rounds, had a big crash on Friday and raced with just two practice runs under his belt. He still managed to end in 6th place which puts him into a great position for the final two rounds in Norway and Italy.
