That's my home track, all but the last part (from the drop to the finish area) is the usual track. Francesco is right that it hasn't rained much around here this summer. But Pila is always dusty and loose compared to other mountains in the region, so same as usual.

PSA to the folks who haven't been to Pila this year... the famous "rientro" to Aosta, which drops 1700 vertical back to the parking lot in Aosta, has been closed at the top half. I guess the land owners finally had enough of people having a good time in those woods. The second half is still open, but it's not the same. Descending the first 5km on the road before getting back on track sucks.
