Initial Impressions

I have lost several small parts over the years. I would disassemble something and realize I was missing one piece when putting it back together. One time when I was buying whole pack of replacement chain ring bolts at my local shop, the guy suggested getting one of these. Since getting my magnetic bowl, I have kept all the metal parts in here. No more lost parts and trips to the local bike shop. I'm sure the $7 has saved me a bunch of time and money. You could get a cheaper magnetic bowl, but if you already have a stand and bench full of Park Tool blue, you might as well spend the extra $3 and make everything match.

Function

Stick this to any ferromagnetic material and boom, your home mechanic area just got a huge upgrade.

Durability

The bowl is well made and I haven't had any problems. I have seen one bowl that discolored at a shop, but I have no idea what caused that.

The Good

These things are super handy. Keeps you from doing a repair then searching over your crowded bench for that bolt you just cant seem to find. Saves a whole lot of time.

The Bad

It's a bit more expensive then other generic versions, but hey, it's Park. The dish itself is nice but for 1/3 the price you can pick up the same thing at an auto parts or hardware store.

Overall Review:

Great product, keeps people like me from loosing things. You can stick it anywhere; on the bench, on the stand, side of the tool box. But it's just expensive would rather buy 3 others in silver for the same price, but the Park will match all your other tools.
