Specifications
SmartGRIP+ Compound: Pirelli added Lignin to their E-MTB specific compound called SmartGRIP+. Lignin is a naturally sourced chemical component from the pulping process of exhausted paper. It enhances performance for the unique speed and torque associated with electric motors and E-MTB.
HyperWALL Structure: A patented construction of the bead and sidewalls area, further increasing tire performance in terms of stability and resistance to pinch-flats. Pirelli's construction solidly anchors the bead and the rubber sidewall insert with a woven fabric flipper, making them behave as one solid piece instead of as separate components.
An e-bike specific tire, the Scorpion E-MTB M (Mixed Terrain) is the tire for Trail and All-Mountain tracks. The medium-profile tread pattern is optimized to compliment the rubber compound's properties for performance in variable conditions over differing terrain. The additional "bridges" help support the knobs and improve mud shedding in wet conditions.
