FUNN Funnduro Stems

I have owned two of these stems over the years, one in 31.8 and most recently with the 35mm bar clamp. It's a great stem holds the bars on securely and looks great. As a former bmxer I like the top load styling. The topload design is also handy when your changing handlebars, as the bars will balance on the stem even when the faceplate is removed.

Its a pretty straight forward design with a four bolt faceplate and two opposing pinch bolts not he steerer tube. Edges are rounded for those occasional knee to the stem moments. The beauty of this is no creaking or faffs when changing the stem or bars, which is more than can be said than a lot of stems from some more popular alternative.

The stem is a little narrow in width compared to some other stems i've used and it can look pretty tiny when paired with 800mm bars. That said i've never noticed an issue with stiffness or durability. Weight is competitive and pricing is keen in comparison to renthal, raceface, joystick etc....

It's not available in a lot of different lengths which is a bit of a con but its available in a few colours if you like to get flashy. I'm personally a fan of the 45mm length and wish other brands would make shorter stems in 5 mm increments instead of 10mm ones. 

The really low stack height of this stem is probably a unique selling point for many. it's super low which is really handy for those looking to slam their stem or who haven't got much steerer tube to play with. 

I Highly recommend this stem, they're often on sale and are good value even at full rrp never had any issues. It's a pity their branding is a bit corny and they don't match the renthal bars that are my go to choice.
