            The GX shifter came on my new 2018 Devinci Spartan paired with a full GX drivetrain. The shifter has the similar feel of all other SRAM shifters I have used in the past. The action of this one feels no different other than being a bit smoother than the X-9 10 speed ones I used last. The upshifting lever is aluminum and has some ridges on the paddle portion to give your thumb some traction that you can really feel espicially if you ride gloveless.

              After a couple hundred miles, the shifter is working flawlessly. All I had to do was use the tension adjuster to take up some of the cable stretch. This one is a little heaver than the higher tier versions, but there are other and better ways to shave off weight if that is a concern in my optinion. The cost of it is very appealing if you are looking for a new shifter and do not want to spend the $100 plus of a X01. IT came stock on my bike and I do not plan on changing it out until is wears out which seems like forever with these shifters.
