Park Tool Parktool Professional Micro-Adjust Clamp 100-25D

The Park Tool 100-25D Clamp came on a PRS-25 stand I purchased over a year ago. Although I have been very impressed with the stand itself, I think I am even more impressed with this clamp that came with it. Owning several stands from different companies, there were some things I likes and some things I absolutely disliked about the previous ones. After using the 100-25D clamp, I don’t think I’ll ever be able to go back to something less superior.

First impressions

The Micro Adjust Clamp is an absolute game changer. It’s super easy to use and offers great control on how tight it will clamp. I know this isn’t a huge deal for most mountain bikers but if you own a carbon seat post or even a dropper post, this style of clamp can save you from a horrible accident. Almost as impressive is the Cam Action Lever design. What this means is you don’t have to unwind through the entire threads of the clamp to get the seat tube out. Simply give the clamp a half to full turn, release the cam lever, and the clamp completely opens to allow you to remove the post, snag free. The Micro Adjust Clamp can also clamp almost any surface between 7/8th” to a full 3” in size. This means it will work for the kids’ bikes as well as your aero TT bike. The clamp also rotates a full 360 degrees so you can get the bike at any angle for maintenance. This has come in very handy for installing internally routed cables as well as brake adjustments. Lastly, the clamp width is an impressive 2.7” wide. That means that you will most likely never have to adjust a seat post in order to get it in the stand.

Durability

After using this clamp for more than a year of heavy use, I have only seen a signs of wear on the rubber clamp pads (which is expected and can be replaced for less than $8). The clamp bolts and pivot points have remained clean and resistant free, which is huge if you like things that are built to last forever. I feel I will keep this clamp for 20+ years with no issues.

Adaptable

One of the best things worth mentioning about this clamp is that it is very adaptable. It threads into pretty much any Park Tool stand ever made. That means it will work with any portable stand, stand bolted to the floor, or even a wall or post.

Bottom Line

This is without question the easiest and most durable clamp I have ever used. I would recommend this product to anyone who does home maintenance on their bikes.
