Cane Creek were the original high performance MTB shock. Many don’t know this that they were the first to license the Ohlins twin tube technology from the MX scene and brought it in to the MTB market.
This caused the other big name manufacturers to redesign their suspension in order to compete.
I have raced many setups since 2004 and I always come back to the Cane Creek setup. I’ve never once had a break down of any Cane Creek products.
The shock to this day performs easily with the most expensive shocks out there.
Cane Creek are known for taking the best technologies out there and making them the best and most reliable version of it.
The Kitsuma shock has the full open compression setting, a Trail mode compression setting and one of the only shocks on the market to offer a full lockout setting for when you need to ride gravel road climbs.
it’s an extremely smooth dampener with easy adjustments of high and lows speeds.
If you are looking for a shock that can do it all you really cannot go wrong with the Cane Creek DB shocks.

Wider Range of Adjustment – DB Kitsuma boasts a wider range of damping adjustment on the compression circuit and increased range of rebound control. The rebound range has also been shifted downward for more rebound damping to accommodate the larger spring rates needed for more modern bikes.
See and Feel What Your Settings Are – The entire range of DB Kitsuma’s low-speed compression and rebound circuits are controlled within a single rotation, while the high-speed circuits are controlled within two rotations, allowing the rider to easily reference where they are within their adjustment.
Tool-Free Adjustment – DB Kitsuma sports completely tool-free adjusters that are ergonomically designed to be easily accessible and adjustable trail-side.
Three-Position Climb Switch – A single lever switches the shock between three distinct modes: Descend, CS, and Firm. The patented "CS" mode provides a stable yet responsive platform engineered to maximize traction and pedal efficiency while climbing over technical terrain and singletrack. "Firm" mode utilizes a design that closes off the common bleed port and excels at pedaling over long stretches of pavement or gravel roads on your way to the trail.
