I'll be honest, the reason I bought my Chromag OSX 35mm bar was that the "hot yellow" matched the neon yellow on my Norco Range. I was hoping that it would be close and that the tint of yellow wouldn't be too far off. It arrived and to my surprise, the yellow matched exactly. If you have a neon yellow color-way that you want to add to, this is the bar you are looking for.
Beyond that, I'll compare this bar to my old Race Face Atlas 31.8mm bar which I rode for 3 seasons and decided to retire at the end of last year. I really liked the feel and width of that bar. The 785mm width seemed perfect for my broad shoulders and I liked the feel of the sweep and rise. Do I notice the added stiffness that the 35mm clamp size is supposed to give me? No. Do I like that it is a few dozen grams lighter than my old bars? Yes, but I can't say I actually notice that on the trail either. I do notice the different sweep angle and I feel like the bars are rolled back further than the Atlas bars were. I am having a hard time finding the perfect bar roll on these. I feel like if I roll them further forward where I feel like I should want them, that they come too far forward. If I move them back to where I don't feel too forward, I feel like they are too far back. Its a strange thing, and maybe it will just be that after 3 years riding the Race Face bars, I will just have to adapt to a new bar-feel. I put the old Atlas bars on the other day just to get a sense of how different they were, and though they did feel more familiar, I didn't like how tiny the bars looked compared to the 35mm Chromags. Having that extra material near the stem not only looks good, it provides confidence to charge the gnarliest of lines. Truth be told, once I get into a rhythm on the trail I don't notice the different angles nearly as much, its usually just on the fireroad on the way up.
I suspect that had I never ridden the Atlas I would think the Chromag OSX were perfect. And I'm not saying they're not, but know that they do feel different for a little while if you are coming from a Race Face bar. Overall, these are excellent bar at a good price.
The look great and perform well. The paint is just not strong enough for DH riding. They will last the season, but most likely I will need to replace next season for cosmetic reasons. We call Chromag and they don't have any touch up paint and suggests to better protect the surface. We will most likely try to find a matching nail polish or automotive paint. If Chromag had a touch up paint, it would greatly help.

Post a reply to: Great colors. Paint chips easily
The Fubar OSX is the perfect blend of performance and style all combined into one fantastic product. The paint and anodized options make sure you can find a color to fit any whip. The bar comes at quite wide but has markings on the ends for easy trimming. The gentle rise is comfortable. This bar is virtually bombproof, I have taken many spills with it, with no more than cosmetic damage. While the bar is billed more towards the FR crowd, it can be use for AM or even XC riding( at some weight penalty). In the hand, the bar feels stiff and inspires confidence. I highly recommend this product to the rider that wants to upgrade their cockpit with a little bit of flair.

- Look cool
- Super strong
- Wide but can be cut down if you want to
I use them on my Dirt Jump bike and they are fantastic. Some might say they are a little wide and low for dirt jumping but you can cut them down if you want. If you like lower bars. This is the one to get.

Strong, light, appealing to the eye, and feel great. Wouldn't recommend them for dirt jumping or park use due to the 780mm width and not much rise (more for downhill).

Very nice, strong bar. Looks great in the many colors it comes in. The whole thing just has a nice fell to it. If you purchase this bar i also recommend Chromag's basis grips

had these for a while now and they are awesome! really suit me and got them because they felt nice on my friend's bike.
they look amazing and come in various colours to suit any build. the finish is high quality and won't come off that easily compared to most bars. mine have a few marks from crashes as expected.
they are also pretty light but are quite expensive, but in my opinion this is the bar to get if you want to ride anything from dirt jumps to DH
