Amazing Downhill Shoes
Rating:
The Good
Stiff which is great for downhill riding, very sticky shoe when pared with a decent pedal, comfortable for all day lift riding
The Bad
a bit pricey, not the most comfortable if you are going walk around in all day, say go out to the pub for a bite and brews after riding
Overall Review:

I purchased these for downhill and trail riding, wanted better grip and support while riding. They definitely have grip and support, for trail riding they can be kinda hot, I ended up putting a comfort insole or arch support in the shoe to make it a bit more comfortable.  I would recommend and get again.

Best flat pedal shoes!

Grip, grip and grip. Also durability.
The Bad
Nothing to point out.
Overall Review:

I guess by now everyone knows that these are the standart in flat pedal shoes.

They just grip in every situation like I have never seen before.

They may be on the bulky side and have the same look for a number of years now but I personally think they look awesome and feel awesome as well.

As for durability, mine have now almost 3 years and they look like I have just bought them.

Bulky and grippy
Rating:
The Good
Really grippy, about 30% or so more grippy than a 5/10 Freerider. Lots of protection. Last for years.
The Bad
A bit too chunky to be ideal for anything other than very aggressive AM or FR/DH
Overall Review:

There is nothing wrong with this shoe, its specialty is for DH and FR but still works across a range of disciplines and offers real piece of mind on rocky AM rides too. Keep in mind that a 5/10 Freeriders are lighter, better for DJ, urban and look better when you go out, but you lose some protection.

Gotta love the grip

Stiff sole, great traction, and they last. The stiff sole is so nice behind a shovel too.
The Bad
run a bit big in the width, but thats a personal fit issue. New model is "action leather" you mean pleather? Ya, they run a bit hotter than the OG model.
Overall Review:
I have had the original Inpacts since 07 and they are in great shape. I put down 2K plus XC,DH, DJ, Digging and trials miles a year for the last 4 years and they are still looking good. I got a new pair from Santa and was disappointed to find out they are all Pleather now ( original were a swede leather) I just hope they last like my last pair( that I still rock on the days I do more digging than riding.

I would love to see a velcro top like the Minars to help keep the laces and shoe tight but not like the moon boot Karver. Great shoe!

none what-so-ever!
Overall Review:
An awesome investment for you downhill applications. I used to (3 years ago) ride with DC's and the tread would fall apart or get ground down to nothing within a few months. I've had my 5.10's for 2 years and they easily have another year, maybe 2, in them. Super grippy even to this day and just a great alternative to skate shoes. I don't clip in riding downhill, but these will keep your feet on the pedals during rough stuff nearly as good. So basically it's most of the benefits of being clipped in without the obvious risk factor of actually being clipped. It's amazing how hurt you can get when you can't separate yourself from your bike during a crash...

5.10's FTW!!!
