Good hardtail e-bike for cross-country
The Good
Motor (Bosch Performance CX, 4th generation). Integrated Battery: 625 Wh. Frame Geometry. 29'' Boost wheel. 29x2.6'' tires. Versatile: A hardtail e-bike with 120mm travel fork is good for instance for cross-country, gravel road, forest trail.
The Bad
It's a price point bike, meaning the company release a bike with the intend to not exceed a certain price. So, except for the motor, battery and frame, you got average value components for most components. The worst component is the fork.
Overall Review:
I bought a 2020 Cube Reaction Hybrid Ex 625 29 Black'n'Blue’’ in April 2020. This bike comes with a cheap fork. After a few rides I had enough so I upgraded my fork to Rockshox Reba RL. It made a big difference when biking. (It's a good idea when riding with any hardtail to install a suspension seatpost if you look for more comfort. I installed a Suntour NCX SP12 Suspension Seatpost and it has added more comfort.) Overall that's a good e-bike. It become a very good e-bike if you upgrade the fork. I haven't had this bike for long but I will consider to upgrade other components too in the future. The max speed with assist is 20mph(32km/h) in USA and Canada.
Update after one year of use of this bike: I had to change the chain and the cassette.
